Clean place makes happy space.

Growing up you probably were told many times to clean your room, and now at the age of 21 almost 22 I finally get it. Ever since I moved out of my parents bedroom and into the room I shared with my older sister, keeping it clean and organized was top priority.  And until now I have been absolutely horrible with this. Maybe it's the new year but I've finally understand what the big deal is.
I've been dealing with Strep throat for a while now and have recently developed sinus pains. Being sick in my family is an easy ticket to get out of doing chores. And I have been enjoying my free time.
But after a few days of not really doing anything productive I decided to clean my room and actually keep it clean.  And boy has it made a difference.  I feel so much happier and relaxed knowing that I don't have to stress about all the clutter around me. Now I have more time to do other things.
Some tips I have learned are
1. Clean
Use actual cleaning products, wipe down furniture and vacuum if you have carpet
2. De clutter your floor and furniture first.
This is helpful because a) now you have a pathway and b) it already makes your room seem organized.
3. Do everything in small projects.
Now that you have put everything away, organize that space. This includes drawers, bookshelves, bins, closets. Any place you store your belongings organize it.
4. Maintain the clean space
Put things away were they belong after you use them. This might get hard but it makes all the difference.
A clean and organized place has brought me and kept me in a nice happy mental space.

Update

So its been a while since I have updated this at all. I haven't had access to a computer at all. But my problem is solved. I have been on Tumblr lately, my tumblr is oliviaba7x.tumblr.com. So if for some reason you want to keep updated with me there is the link. I also have a Twitter and Instagram and  those are both @oliviaba7x

Love is a cure...

For starters, its been quite a while since I've updated or bothered to post anything, but I have missed this and writing has been on my mind for quite a while now. Since I've been gone I still have had my fair share of ups and downs but things are changing for the better. I may not have had a jam packed summer like I did last year, but it was still delightful. I've stated seeing my therapist less and less, we've gone from once a week to once a month. Even though I do miss having someone help me figure out my problems with me, I like the fact that I can deal with stuff on my own now. I have gotten a new foot tattoo, I got an Avenged Sevenfold deathbat on my left foot, not the original but slightly different. I got pit tickets to see Avenged Sevenfold, and honestly it was one of the most happiest times of my existence. I also got to see Halestrom, Volbeat, Blink 182, 30 Seconds to Mars, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, H.I.M., and The Offspring. Musically this summer has been a dream come true.

But the biggest change in my life, was Him. My boyfriend and as far as I am convinced soul mate. Honestly, if at first I don't like someone or feel uncomfortable with them I cut them out of my life. But with him I couldn't ever do it, something made me want to stay and see where this friendship was taking us. One fateful night in July, changed everything. I won't go into any gruesome details, but I got super wasted and basically blacked out. Honestly, I don't remember 5 hours of that night. At the end of the day he took care of me and that made me realize, no one would ever do that for me unless they really loved me. As of today we are 4 months into our relationship and I have never been happier. Other than one of my best friends who I've known since Kindergarten, he knows all of my secrets and all of my flaws. Not even my therapist who I've known longer knows absolutely everything like he does. Like all the things I hold in a precious place, I keep him safe with me. I'm not ready to share him with the world yet, I want to keep him safe where no one will hurt him, but most of all I don't want to share our close and intimate details with the world, My relationship with him, should be based on just me and him, and I plan to keep it that way by not over sharing details.

I've noticed my depression has somehow cured itself with the happiness he brings me, of I got off my anti-depressants I would hardly notice since I don't think I need them. Suicide has barely crossed my mind, because with him I see a future. I do still think about cutting, but I tell myself not to be selfish, if I hurt myself  I will hurt him. Love has become my cure to depression, maybe its the early stages of love setting in, but I am going to embrace it and hold hands with him on my way to recovery.

My experience on Wellbutrin (Bupropion)

Beginning of 2013 I was finally able to convince myself to go on medication (crazy pills) for my various issues such as anxiety and depression. This is my short journey with Wellbutrin (Bupropion) and anti-depressant.

On January I started my first dose of Wellbutrin (a.k,a. the happy, horny, skinny pill) and oh my did my world change. All of a sudden I had all this energy, I was super hyper all the time and felt actually happy for a while...For some reason I decided to drink a super large Monster Energy drink and I definitely felt the energy but only to have the worst crash ever. I was so tired and drained of energy by the end of the day. I did have another can of this stuff and it have the same effect on me, even when I wasn't full of natural energy. My hyper days faded over time and soon I started to have quite depressing days, where I didn't want to get out of my bed or be productive at all. Eventually I mellowed out and didn't feel an overall difference. After a month of taking Wellbutrin I went back to the psychiatrist. The medicine didn't end up making much of a difference with my depression but it did help lower my anxiety. The psychiatrist upped my dosage to Wellbutrin XL (which ironically comes in a smaller pill than the original Wellbutrin).

On February I started Wellbutrin XL and with my depression I didn't notice any slight changes after a month of taking it. My anxiety did disappear and I didn't feel it all, some days I did have physical anxiety energy but not as often. Wellbutrin XL also changed my thoughts on suicide and self mutilation. On regular Welbutrin I did think of suicide a bit more, but on the XL I started to process it more. Somehow every week I already knew that I was going to have a suicidal thought anytime, I expected it with this medication. It did start to increase from once a week to three times a week the more I took it. I did think of cutting a lot more as well, it went hand in hand with my suicidal thoughts. What is kind of odd is my thoughts were never triggered by a bad day or a sad event. Like a weed it just popped up for no reason or purpose and just grew.

In conclusion taking this changed my energy levels once starting it and made me more suicidal. It did however help with my anxiety but did almost nothing for my depression. I recently did have another visit with the psychiatrist and have changed onto Zoloft (another anti-depressant) which I should be starting in a few days. Zoloft should be a little less stimulating (less suicidal thoughts) but still be able to help with my anxiety. If you are going to consider taking Wellbutrin please do your research on this drug. I suggest using Crazy Meds :). This is just my experience and to each his own.

Review: ELF Lip Exfoliater

Winter, the season I was born with and the season that my lips are not my best friend.  The cold air just dries out my skin and is especially harsh on my lips. Chapstick and lip balm are only lip products I use on  a regular basis, as a kid I tried to collect as many Lip Smackers products I could find thus making lip products just not fun anymore. Sometimes Chapstick doesn't seems to do the trick, so dry lips are my constant enemy this season. But today I found a lip product to save my chapped lips.

The ELF Lip Exfoliater, I honestly can't imagine not having this product constantly stocked. This product is packed with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape, Jojoba oils and sugar to exfoliate and moisturize your lips. All you have to do to have mouth watering soft lips is rub the product in circles around your lips (really buff it in), and just wipe with a water soaked cotton pad/napkin.

1) Taste: The sugar really helps the product exfoliate your lips and gives it a sweet taste. It might not be a smart idea to swallow or eat this product but if its going around anywhere near your mouth it might as well not taste awful.

2) Packaging: Its not my favorite packaging a little to bulk and could definitely be a little sleeker. Won't be something that could easily fit in your pocket, but not a deal breaker. The product itself comes in a classic lipstick shape, which makes the application process much easier than something in a little jar.

3) Price: This product is part of the ELF studio line and retails for $3. I found mine at my local Target but it is also available at the ELF website www.eyeslipsface.com. For something that has completely changed the way my lips feel, $3 is not a bad price at all.

Overall, this is definitely something worth checking out. Dry lips or not, using this is a great little lip pick-me-up. If you plan on doing any kissing or going on hot dates this is something to definitely keep handy. You can easily use this in a bathroom or even in your car (just keep a water bottle and napkin handy, not tissues though the water and sugar will makes these useless). Have a happy day and happy lips!

Review: Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray

Dry shampoo is one of my life savers. The more I use it the more time my hair can go without shampooing. It may sound gross to some people, but I don't wash my hair everyday. Shampoo may get your hair clean, but it does strip your hair of essential oils. Less washing, means less heat styling and more time on my hands.

I have super oily hair to begin with, so dry shampoo can be such a game changer when it comes to my hair. I've tried a few diffrent brands some I liked, and some I hated. The Suave brand dry shampoo has become my absolute favorite find.

1) The cost: I found this baby at Target for $2.89! I've been dying to try the TIGI Dirty Secret dry shampoo but it's $19.49. A bit pricey for the average young adult without a job.

2)The smell: This product smells very citruisy to me, and I really don't mind. I'm from southern Caifornia and I literally live in an actual Grapefruit grove, with some lemons and orange trees included too. So I am quite fond of tangy yet sweet smells.

3)Oil Control/ Volume: Does this product soak up my oily roots? Yes it does! After spraying this and brushing it in, my hair not only looks refreshed but also smells amazing too. Dry shampoo also comes with the added benefit of giving your hair some volume. Second day hair can easily turn into a refreshed look with volume. Plus, you don't need to heat style and light teasing to achive this look.

For anyone who has oliy, colore treated, or damaged hair this product is worth trying.

Blog Changes

So blogging yesterday felt pretty good! I got to release some emotions and just tell the world what I'm feeling. I am thinking of 1) making more blog posts 2)making specific blog posts. I want to start making maybe reviews, make-up of the day, outfit of the day, band/album of the day and still keep up with my random blogs.

1. Reviews: Mostly make-up but some hair product reviews too. For now I will keep it up to those two and possibly expand to other categories.
2. Make-up of the day/week: The products I used that day since they do change out a lot. And mainly what eye look I was going for. I am not an expert at make-up or how to properly apply it but sometimes my eyes look pretty amazing. Maybe this will lead to tutorials?
3. Outfit of the day/week: I don't always have the best outfits, but sometimes I do. Just kind of want to show case them since Fashion is my life.
4. Band/Album/Song of the day/week: Showing the world what I am currently listening to For example Imagine Dragons would be a very good post for this. Love the band, enjoying their album  Night Visions and I can't stop listening to Demons. But sometimes it might just be a band like The Offspring, an album like Vol 3: The Subliminal Verses by Slipknot, or the song Cowboy Casanova by Carrie Underwood. Again this might vary.

Short term goal right now is get these 4 posts done by the end of the month. Slowly working up to bi-monthly posts and eventually weekly posts. If you know me, or have somehow followed this blog you know I can't really make any promises. I will try to make this work. Once again no promises.

Look for these new changes starting in Feb!

Birthday Blues

Finally the year I have been waiting for my entire life, 2013 the year I finally turn 21.  I'm finally inside the world of alcohol, clubs, bars, 21+ concerts, Casinos. Somehow, I'm not as excited as I should be. Is it because I haven't really planned anything? Or maybe that almost no one seems to care. I litterally had to remind my family that my birthday is on Sunday a.k.a. Super Bowl Sunday so they can't plan anything. So far game watching, dinner, and a trip to Stampede are my only plans. Secretly, I am hoping that someone is planning me a surpise party, but I doubt that will happen.

Overall 20 was a good semi-good year for me. I did a lot, activity wise and emotionally wise.
-Almost commited suicide
-Finally got into therapy
-Went on Anti-deppresants
-Spent my summer at the beach and water parks
-Got my nose pierced twice, got my monroe pierced
-Got a tattoo
-Fell in love
-Was completely heart broken
-Went to a movie theater by myself
-Lost a best friend
-Rode the tallest ride at the county fair
-Went to six flags
-Went to X Fest and saw Eve 6, Of Monsters and Men, Grouplove, Rebelution, Neon Trees, P.O.D., Angles and Airwaves, Garbage, and Jane's Addiction
-Saw Neon Trees again and Penguin Prison
-Saw Linkin Park and Incubus
-Got a new car
-Drove to Six Flags

Maybe 21 will be a good year for me. Maybe it's the new medicine I'm on (Wellbutrin a.k.a. the happy, horny, skinny pill). Hopefully more tattoos, more concerts, more falling in love, and of course alcohol.

Commitment

Commitment. It can be a scary word, so many "m" to remember it has the power to intimidate. Besides the spelling, the meaning of it can make even grown men run in fear. I might have a fear of commitment, cause like most humans I change my mind. When I do commit its because a)its a sudden decision and I want to go with my gut or b)I have spent a great deal twirling the idea in my mind and I am positive this is the right choice. Not 100% positive cause my mind likes to have doubts. Now here is a (not so secret) secret, I can barely commit. This blog, my goals in life, my friends, and now my love life.

Love life? I am not 100% positive that I even have one. Is there a bf? Not exactly. Someone I care about? Yes. Something developing? I'm not sure. I'm not even sure if I should be sharing this. I found him not looking for something serious. Maybe something for a few times...if you know what I mean. But then feelings get involved, and it all becomes complicated. And my mind can't wrap around something that isn't black and white, that isn't yes or no. But for the first time in my life, I am not sure if I have commitment issues. A) I don't want to leave and give up so easily because 1) this might be worth while 2) I don't want to run away. Or B)I want to leave to avoid being hurt or  C) Maybe this is a sign to find something closer.

Not the same situation but also involving my love life. I recently changed my Facebook Interested In section to men and women. I came out on Facebook. And that is kind of a big deal for me. Because the first time I came out to people it came back negatively and I eventually just told the world that, I was going thru a phase. But I just don't give as much of a fuck anymore. I like men and women, just in different ways. I can never see myself with another girl (keep in mind this post is about commitment so that might change) I honestly want girls for sexual relations.  I want boys for that too, but with them I feel emotions too. So coming out makes me feel empowered in a way. I don't give a fuck about what people think about that part of my mind. The special someone I mentioned in the paragraph doesn't care that I want girls for sex, so it kinda works out.

Commitment. Something, people have trouble with and I am one of those people. I won't commit unless you give me a hell of a good reason to.

What is happiness?

For a couple weeks, maybe months, and possibly years I have asked myself am I happy? I always answered yes. But recently I have started to ask myself if I am unhappy? And my answer is still yes. If I was truly happy I would not be in therapy. But yet I am not sad enough to consider myself depressed.

I am not a religious person at all, I am still trying to find out if I believe in religion at all. But I do think that fate has given me a gift this summer. If I counted all the bad things that have happened to me in the past month, I would believe that I had a terrible summer. But yet fate has given me such amazing things to counteract all the bad.

Maybe happiness is the feeling that everything isn't crumbling beneath me. Or that through everything that has happened I still manage to smile. Right now I could name a million things that I would change in order to make me completely happy and giddy. But I know life doesn't work that way. Maybe I'm not happy, maybe I am just thankful.

A Cluttered Mind

Wow, I have so many ideas of what to make a blog post of that there is just to many to organize. And if you know me well, you are aware that I hate throwing things away, especially ideas. I can talk about my current, minor obsessions..?
1. My new Warped Tour 2012 CD
2. Hunger Games DVD
3. Goth..

To start off today at Target (best store EVER) I bought the Hunger Games DVD. I have been waiting for this to come out on DVD for the longest time and now that I have it my obsession with Peeta and Josh Hutcherson can slightly be tamed. The first time I saw the film when it came back, I had not read any of the books or really knew the story line. I just watched because of all the hype it was getting. When I did watch it a second time I was obsessed! It took me a while to read the first book, but the second and third book I read in a day each. I am so happy I finally own the DVD. Anyways, while I was at Target I picked up the DVD and just happened to look at the CD section and found the Warped Tour CD. I love the two other years I have so getting the CD was a no brainer. I am listening to it as I type!

My third mini obsession happens to be Goth. I know nothing, about the culture, music, or literature that goes along with goth. However I am pretty obsessed with the make up and fashion part of the culture. Some of my clothing and accessories I do considered to be pretty goth. I especially love watching goth videos on YouTube, My favorite users are kazlovesbats, KINGgutterface, PorcelainPanicc, rottenzombiefairy, SebastianTheGirl, and batcavedilema. These are my favorite youtubers to watch. I am just so interested in the Gothic culture like I was obsessed with Scene and Emo for a while.

I would love to keep on typing but its pretty late at night, well for my parents anyways. I promise to make another post soon. Oh and BTW I got a nose and Monroe piercing haha I am a rebel

Lobotomies, cutting, and the animal I have become

Lobotomy: Pretty strong and unusual subject I suppose. I finally watched Sucker Punch...most of it (had to feed my on going addiction to Temple Run) anyways, that almost last scene I suppose where you see her after the lobotomy, the incidents that happened....wow! Shes completely not there anymore, and the look on her face is haunting. Like my many other obsessions of mine I researched "lobotomy" many times and all the possible side effects. Is it crazy that I want one? Something that will calm me down and leave me less violent. Don't get me wrong I am not violent at all towards others, but the thought of getting a lobotomy is intriguing.

Cutting: If I haven't mentioned this before, which I pretty sure I haven't I am a cutter. I have cut my wrists, thighs, upper arms, and possibly other places 128+ times. It seems like a lot but in defense after 4 years I believe it evens out. Not much scars left except a possibility of 6 (from recent cutting) luckily for me they have all faded pretty nicely. I actually like my scars to fade, when they fade I fee like the problems that went with them fade as well. I do not cut because I am emo or because I want to kill myself. It calms me down, and I know it is not the best, but I feel secure. I haven't cut in a couple of weeks, but I am contemplating it right now. Probably won't act out on in until after Easter so my wrists don't look so ugly.

Animal I have become by Three Days Grace: Like my lobotomy fantasy I have developed yet another one thanks to this song. Actually make that two. First I want to go back in time, four years from now and be stuck in like a P.E. class with my peers who thought I was a loner or just odd. The have adult men come after me and tell me they are going to lock me in an insane asylum. And at first I act calm, but something snaps inside my mind and I refuse to go with them. And in total bad ass manner I some how know martial arts and just start fighting guards off. Maybe I take a hostage, and pull a gun out and tell them they can't take me. I fantasize about this when I listen to the song, but yet when it ends I never completely know if I escaped or what goes down in the end. I really want to be seen as a bad ass. Oh and Monster by Skillet is also a similar song to animal i have become but it reminds me to much of my ex so yeah... =] My second fantasy is creating a music video to this song, full on lip synching, black and white, and props. Might act out on this one if I get a new camera.

Might Update in another post... but I leave you all with this

"I can't escape this hell/So many times I've tried/But I'm still caged inside/Somebody get me through this nightmare/I can't control myself/So what if you can see the darkest side of me?No one will ever change this animal I have become"

Time for some changes

Remember me going to FIDM? Well to tell you the truth, my grades weren't what they were supposed to be. All three semesters were under a 2.0 and because of that I am getting dismissed from the school . It really sucks, I wish I could go back in time and do things differently but I can't. As for my future there really isn't a plan of action. Fast forward to they day things started to change, my third semester began and I was notified that I was being put on contract in other words my last chance to boost my grades. On top of that the stress of doing the best and having to pay $400 because I failed a class really got to me.
Whats my plan now? I have no idea. I need to tell my parents, figure out what I'm going to do career wise, and manage to tell Somonee about my coping problems. To cope I either try to forget about it, abuse drugs, or cut myself. One of the main things that is stopping me is not getting sent away. I've had nightmares about this.
So I am going to make some changes in my life and on my blog, I really want to focus on it since I feel writing has been such a great outlet.
Update: Started writing this post a few days ago. So I told my older sister everything. I gave her a facebook message and we have been texting, I really didn't want to talk to her on the phone or in person. Since I told her my emotional mood swings have left, but I am still uneasy. I am going to have to see her today, because of a family event. Let's see how this goes and maybe I will make another post about it. Still love my blog, and hopefully will keep up with it more.

The Future....

Haven't had post in a while....sorry. I have been very busy and completely forgot about my blog until now. So some updates: 1. started my third quarter at fidm 2. taking four classes fabric id, apparel process 1, fundamentals of sketching, and critical thinking. Speaking of critical thinking I am supposed to be writing an essay but i am procrastinating. So, if you read my blog, you can tell i am not a huge fan of school. When I did go to a community collage I often skipped class and never took it as seriously as i should have. For Fidm I have only skipped class twice, I love my school so much. But unfortunately I am failing.. My GPA is pretty low...which ultimately sucks and it will pro ably take a miracle for me to pass, but I am trying.

LOVE: So there is this guy will call him Craig. He is very good looking, funny, likes boy bands (yes boy bands), has real set in stone goals, is a dancer, and he honestly seems like someone I would overall want to introduce to my parents....basically hes like what I want in a husband.
He may seem perfect but he also has some qualities I don't like. Hes overally religious, seems to ignore me a lot, and by ignoring i mean I will try to start a conversation with him and he either responds quickly or talks and picks up the conversation with somebody else. Hes a cancer and I am an Aquarius....basically they don't mix.

The there is this other guy will call his Henry. He is also very good looking, a bit older, nice arms which I have a thing for, and is not afraid to cuss. I just recently discovered I am very much attracted to Henry...but we don't talk at all, like he will try to make conversation with me but I don't get to talk to him that often. Another upside to Henry is that I've spent a little more time with him then Craig. Also Henry seems like the guy who will show you a good time and if anything physical starts to happen, things leading into sex is no big deal. While Craig will again show you a good time, but only leave you with a kiss or two.

As much as I like Craig, Henry seems to beat him by a nose. Not sure if anything will ever spark between either of these guys but a girl can dream. Its getting late so must get to work on that essay.

Am I officially a Youtuber??

Hello, Well mid-terms are over!! Yes and no. Yes because I can finally not be stressed out about power studying and no because this quarter is almost over!! So I am procrastinating right now, ahh yes something I seem to do a lot. Alright so the point of this post is...I made another YouTube account. Mainly because A) I want to start out fresh with no videos, subscriptions or history and B) I just wanted this cool username instead of my old one. My new one is oliviaba7x which I use a lot, and my old one is futurepcd which is just some stupid name I created on a whim. So basically yeah. I want to focus this channel on just videos, my futurepcd one is favorites, playlist and subscriptions. I will post outfit of the day videos, tags, and even make-up. I uploaded my first video and it isn't too bad. Hope I can stick with this!

Halloween, Life and 11:11

Halloween is so close by and I really don't know what I am doing that night. Might go trick or treating might just stay home. I do have a costume, its like a self-made but yet still purchased costume. I got the idea from meganheartsmakeup on youtube her makeup and costume were so cute so I felt very inspired. I am going to wear a black dress that I bought originally for my High School graduation and some bunny ears, bow tie, cuffs, and tail that came from a set at Target for only $8!. Wow I love Target. Life is going pretty well, umm trying to bring my GPA up and my first big test is coming up soon. I am going to be moving to LA is less than a year! I am freaked out , but yet very excited so yeah. 11:11 is the time I started writing about this, so it need to be included.

Promise to make more posts!

Another Update

Well it is time for another update video. First quarter of FIDM has been completed, and its been pretty exciting. Well I made some new friends, I got a real taste of college life, and I met some cute boys on the way. It's been hard, but very rewarding. Some goals for next quarter are 1) make new friends 2)minimum of a b in each class 3)balance out my schedule, and 4)fit in some excesse. Everything seems to be going pretty well, just really need to balance out my life. Oh some awesome hair news! Well first off my hair is slowly getting longer which is rather exciting. I also dyed my hair red! Its kind of a red velvet color, but hopefully it will fade into that pretty red I like, might just have to manic panic it. Not much other news. Bye

Supposed to be writing an essay right now...

As you can tell I'm supposed to be writing an essay but I just finished typing my first essay, so I thought I need a little break. Well at the library again (boring but i have access to a computer here). Well right now I have some FIDM updates. 1.)had my placement testing done and i did well 2.) filled out an application form 3)currently working on this major project. This project involves a.) getting an official transcript and diploma [done] b.)three letters of recc [waiting to get two back] c.)admission essays [one done] d.)entrance requirement project [working on it] e.) fill out information and authorization form [done] f.) application an admissions fee [gonna ask my dad for that] and finally g.)fill out fafsa [done]. So after I finish my second essay I just need to finish up my project and get my letters of recc. The project needs a lot of work to do left but when there is a will there is a way. And luckily I have today and tomorrow to finish it up. Well I better start writing that second essay now. Bye's
